Behavior

1) First time logging in:

2) from second logging in:

show this page only when logging in after the first time. Let this page fade out and provide a blank background for now. This will be handled later. The fade out time could be the loading time of UPW.

3) when logging out:

provide the possibility to log in again, where we come back on the login screen + welcome message

Hello Wannes, I find it good to motivate the user. After the login the user should be picked up in the best possible way according to his role (persona). It is clear which applications are available to him. With the epics he has to do, he should be given an overview that will guide him quickly to his tasks. The welcome screen could then be placed as a popup over this dashboard. It could also be the content of a small boardlet. However, you should be aware that this area takes up space and may require interaction to hide the Welcome Screen.
You should also give the user the possibility to hide the welcome screen permanently.
I could also imagine that the welcome screen is shown permanently after the login to bridge the loading time of the application. May be like a movie intro. It disappears automatically after loading.
As inspiration for the UPW in general I would like to introduce the Fiori Launchpad: https://experience.sap.com/fiori-design-web/launchpad/
The Launchpad contains similar concepts and solutions, for which we need a solution in the UPW.
    The Logout Sceen is great.

moin, the welcome screen is only visible at the first login. if you use it after that, it is only visible for a short time (as a greeting). Later on there MUST be a summary visible here, but this is not possible at the moment because we are missing too many infos.

Great feedback, I put somewhere in our backlog a task we should complete further down the road to provide some kind of taskboard/summary if we indeed have more modules made in E1.

    Hey Oliver,

thanks for your constructive feedback, we could indeed keep the launchpad principle in mind.
Make it possible to hide the welcome message will be a must indeed, but for now the alternative is an empty page, so for now we won't hide it for that reason.
All credits to Ron for his design/ideas from an earlier UPW wireframe by the way (smile)

      Hey Ron,

Thanks a lot for your feedback, much appreciated. It's not a pixel perfect one but I'll add it so we keep it as close as possible to your design.
Just a practical question for you, how can I get something from zeplin back into Adobe Xd because my older UPW-Adobe XD file which i used as a base for this doesn't have those components yet. Can i add them in an easy way? thanks for your help (smile)
