  1. Do the customers want to be able to set times at boardlet level?
Answer: In principle, the feature makes sense. I am not aware that it is used anywhere at ZF. The big problem here is that you can't see in the boardlet which time has just been selected.
  2. Should it be possible to create groups of boardlets that use the same time filter while the remaining boardlets follow the global time, for example?
Answer: I don't think this is urgently necessary. Makes the system more complicated without much added value.
  3. Or do the customers only need the possibility to set a global time filter and only the distinction between relative and absolute time filter?
Answer: This is what is currently being used.

Switching between shifts and production days or weeks is the most common use case. At the moment, Legato Sapient is far too complicated. What would be very important for the customer is a better recognition of the times (shifts, production days/weeks) in which the boardlets move. In addition, you should be able to quickly switch between shifts or production days/weeks at boardlet level.

Most important is the current shift or the last three shifts. For example, these should be displayed automatically when the user clicks on a buffer.

Complex time filters only confuse and do not make sense for the user. Complex time filters only make sense for the Dashboard Creator or you can hide complex time filters behind an extended menu.

What users want is simple and intuitive operation, just like with familiar smartphone systems (iOS, Android).
