Project Lead

Role Overview

The Project Lead is responsible for the successful execution of Germanedge projects, ensuring that deliverables are met on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, adherence to governance standards, and close coordination with the Team Lead Project Governance and Documentation to maintain structured project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Execution (Aligned with Germanedge Standards)

  • Define project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation in accordance with Germanedge's Agile Execution Model.
  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, sprint plans, and milestone tracking in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ensure structured project governance by working in close alignment with the Team Lead Project Governance and Documentation.
  • Proactively manage project risks and dependencies while maintaining compliance with Germanedge project methodologies.

2. Collaboration with the Team Lead Project Governance and Documentation

  • Ensure all project governance frameworks align with Germanedge standards.
  • Work closely with the Team Lead Project Governance and Documentation to implement *project documentation best practices*.
  • Align on *risk management, decision logs, and compliance tracking* to maintain project transparency.
  • Maintain *structured communication workflows* to ensure that all teams have access to project-related updates.

3. Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Act as the primary contact for project stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and provide transparent updates via Confluence and Slack.
  • Ensure that project progress, blockers, and key decisions are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead Project Governance and Documentation to ensure structured decision-making and documentation integrity.

4. Budget and Resource Management

  • Plan and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
  • Optimize resource allocation by working closely with team leads and functional managers.
  • Ensure contractual obligations, Statements of Work (SOWs), and financial tracking are consistently updated.

5. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain strict adherence to Germanedge quality management frameworks to ensure project excellence.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies in collaboration with teams.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to refine project execution methodologies.

6. Agile & Lean Execution

  • Champion Agile project management practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and iterative development.
  • Organize and lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
  • Work in 2/4-week sprint cycles, ensuring rapid execution and quick adaptations based on project feedback.
